Foodmetric pricing: what is free and what Premium adds

Foodmetric is free to download and use. AI photo analysis costs real server time, so it is the one part with a limit.

Free plan

  • Food diary, calorie and macro targets, water and weight tracking, statistics.
  • Food search, manual entry, barcode lookups and meal templates, with no AI limit. (Reading a nutrition-label photo for a product that is not in the database counts as an AI analysis.)
  • 3 AI photo analyses to try the feature, plus 1 more every week for registered accounts.

Foodmetric Premium

  • Up to 10 AI food analyses per day.
  • Yearly and monthly plans. The monthly plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
  • Optional extra analysis packs if you need more on a given day.

Prices depend on your country and are shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your store account.

Why there is no lifetime plan

Every AI analysis runs on a paid cloud model. A one-time lifetime price would not cover years of daily analyses, so Foodmetric only offers subscriptions for AI use and keeps everything else free.

FAQ

What is Foodmetric?

Foodmetric is an AI calorie counter for iPhone and Android. You take a photo of a meal, the app identifies the foods and estimates calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat, and you can correct any item before saving it to your food diary.

Is Foodmetric free?

Yes. Free to download. Free accounts get 3 AI photo analyses to try the feature; registered accounts get 1 more AI analysis every week. Food search, manual entry and barcode lookups do not use AI analyses (reading a nutrition-label photo for an unknown product does). Foodmetric Premium: up to 10 AI food analyses per day. Yearly and monthly plans; the monthly plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Optional extra analysis packs. Prices vary by country and are shown in the App Store and Google Play.

How accurate is AI calorie counting from a photo?

A photo-based count is an estimate: portion size and hidden oil or sauce are not always visible in a picture. Foodmetric shows every detected food with its estimated portion in grams, so you can adjust the amount or swap the food before saving. For the best result, photograph the plate from above in good light.

Can Foodmetric track macros?

Yes. Protein, carbohydrates and fat are tracked per meal and per day, together with a daily calorie goal, water intake and weight history.

Can I log food without taking a photo?

Yes. You can search foods, scan a barcode, enter food manually, or reuse saved meal templates with one tap.

Which languages does Foodmetric support?

Foodmetric is available in 30+ languages, including English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

Does Foodmetric give medical or diet advice?

No. Foodmetric is a tracking tool. It does not give medical advice and does not replace a doctor or registered dietitian. The daily calorie goal is calculated with standard energy-requirement formulas.

How do I delete my Foodmetric account?

You can delete your account inside the app or on the official account deletion page: https://foodmetricai.com/account-deletion/en-GB
